The Hayling Island Billy Line opened in 1865 as a single track line with no passing loops and was one of only two fixed links to the mainland. It passed over Langstone harbour on a wooden viaduct with a swing bridge in the middle.

Completed the first month of the “project 365” so to celebrate took a long lunch and a drive just following my nose.
Found this lovely little 13th century church out in the country side.

Joy of traveling by train seeing the British Countryside flying by. Drawback is going through Cities all you see is the backs of houses and industrial estates.
